Do you have any questions for me?
This is one of the most common questions at the end of interviews. I feel that it is not a good idea to not have any questions, but then again, it is not good to ask too many. What are some purposeful and strong questions that I can ask the principal during my interview?

I would ask about the morale of the school?
How involved are parent teacher organizations? Parental involvement?
Are there school wide behavioral plans in place?

We often already know about the academic side of things, but it is often these other items that make or break our experiences within the school or classroom in my opinion.

I would definitely do this if the questions haven't already been answered.

I would ask:

1. What support do you provide new teachers to the school to help them adjust?
2. Are there any school wide behavior and reward systems.
3. Describe the culture of the staff.

I would ask the principal:
"What is the best quality of your school?"
"What are areas of improvement included in your School Improvement Plan?"

I believe it's important to gain insight to the school environment, and to let the principal know you are truly interested in the school's future.

I would ask "Why is this position open?", "What are the feeder schools?", "What kind of technology resources are provided?", and "How is the school morale?".

It's a good idea to ask about what the motto of the school is. Make sure that the principal knows that you want to be a part of the team and not just a part of the crowd.
