Instructions: Complete the following activity (listen to story as many times as needed) and use key details to retell the story.

Key elements help us retell a story to remember the most important parts. 

  • Beginning, middle, and end- What happened in the story? 
  • Problem- What was the problem that characters faced in the story? How did this impact them?
  • Solution- How did the characters solve their problem? What lesson did they lea? 
  • Characters- Who/what were the characters in the story? 
  • Setting- Where/when did the story take place?
