Lesson Description: In this lesson, students will compare and contrast two stories by using story elements identified for the purpose of recounting the stories. The story elements include setting, main characters, problem or challenge, characters' responses to the problem or challenge, solution or outcome, and central message of the story.

Use each of the graphic organizers to retell each story. First retell The Ant and the Grasshopper then retell The Little Red Hen. Focus on the elements of each story. You will use these graphic organizers to help you complete a Venn Diagram comparing the elements of each story.

You will write a paragraph comparing the two stories focusing on the story elements and the central message of the stories.

Assignment : Video Story- Culminating Activity

You will use the paragraph you wrote from this assignment as your "script" and the watercolor paintings you completed as a scene from each story in our previous lessons to create a video story using the Video Note tool in our eClass learing platform. 

Please be sure to use the slide procedure we practiced with our cameras and check the microphine settings to be sure you are clearly recording your visual images and voice recording. 

When you have completed your video note, please watch any that your classmates have posted to pose three thoughtful questions for your peers in the discussion forum.
