Why is she in a wheelchair?
"The next day, I went to the hospital because it was time to bring my mother back home. When we got there, I noticed she was in a wheelchair and I instantly thought there was something wrong. 

'Are you sick?' I asked."

Why would he assume that his mother is sick because she is sititng in a wheelchair? Who else would use a wheelchair in a hospital?
